Ok, a bit belated but pretty damn close.

Regular readers will know that I have not posted in a while so happy you and for you I have prepared a little celebration of the New Year. But before we proceed I would like to point out that in the time I have not been posting traffic has gone up. That of course does not encourage me to put a lot of energy into creating a new post. I think there are two reasons for this increase of traffic without any input on my part. First, this blog has been around for sometime now and it has an established presence on the internet. Somewhere in the top 2.5 million actually. From Alexa, Mypantyblog.com is ranked #2,452,025 in the world according to the three-month Alexa traffic rankings. Roughly 37% of visitors to this site come from the US, where it has attained a traffic rank of 640,888. I chuckle to myself because that is a pretty miserable placement in any race. But then I realize that there are a lot of people on the net looking for traffic and to be in the top 2.5 million and growing is not so bad.

The next reason I believe is the content. Though it is erotic, not pornographic; it is still sexy and sex sells. My focus on thongs is a significant factor particularly Wicked Weasel thongs long featured on my models. Thank you Wicked Weasel for the traffic sent my way by our association on the net and I do hope that my viewers are contributing to traffic sent your way.

And while trafffic increases, sales do not. Eh bien, as we say here in Quebec. I have seen this happen before. In 1997-98, sales went flat then fell off. I hope economists are paying attention to the relationship between sex sales and the economy. I predict recession within the next 12 months. Unfortunately the turmoil of the American election year does not help. And save us from the Republicans. The only two I trust, in no particular order are Ron Paul and John Huntsmen. I would like that ticket. They are unlikely to be selected. They are too thoughtful. They are looking at the facts and solutions not trying to appease the ignorant. Fortunately, being in Canada, it is out of my hands. Phew.

And here it is. The celebration of the New Year. 2012 is going to be interesting.
